Our dedicated team contributes both time and financial support to the people and communities where we live and work. Each year, CU Recovery & The Loan Service Center's 'Jeans for a Cause' committee plans, organizes and leads a number of charitable events involving employee participation. Opportunities throughout the year to wear jeans to work is a benefit appreciated by many staff members and with a 'pay-to-wear' approach, a good cause is connected to the privilege. Casual 'jeans' days are even more valued as a result.
Jeans for a Cause, monthly employee fundraising programs benefit various excellent causes and have raised $66,844.00 since the program began in 2013:
.Sharing and Caring Hands is a Compassionate response to the need of the poor. They are set up to be a safety-net organization to help with whatever needs are not being met. This includes but is not limited to providing means, clothing and shelter. Sharing and Caring Hands is an extension of the community to those in need and a way for volunteers to help make a difference in the lives of others.
Children's Cancer Research Fund is a national nonprofit, that believes kids deserve safe less toxic treatments, and are committed to funding groundbreaking research and services that enhance healing and care. Children's Cancer Research Fund helps fund a verity of projects such as new and developing research, helping survivors and so much more.
Family Pathways began in 1978 as the Family Resource Center, that provided counseling services to youth and families. Over the years Family Pathways expanded to meet the growing needs of the many different communities in East Central Minnesota. In 1998, the organization changed to adopt its current mission, to work with communities to develop supportive, caring relationships to help people meet their basic needs.
The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This gives them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
As Hurricane Harvey causes widespread damage across Taxes, The Salvation Army is ready to provide physical, emotional and spiritual care to survivors and relief workers. The Salvation army will remain in communities impacted by this terrible storm, supporting long-term disaster recovery efforts and providing ongoing assistance to those in need.
